Matt Varga, Ph.D.

Dr. Matt Varga is a Professor of Higher Education Administration and Dean for the University of West Georgia Graduate School. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, an M.S. in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Christopher Newport University. Dr. Varga’s experience with graduate education began in 2012 when he coordinated the College Student Affairs Master’s program. As an Associate Professor, Dr. Varga developed, proposed, and implemented the Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration. During this time, Dr. Varga served on various graduate student and program committees, assisting many graduate processes and academic policies related to graduate students. Dr. Varga’s focus is on developing, implanting, and updating the Graduate School for a modern and innovative educational experience for students looking to advance their academic and professional goals.
