The Online Faculty Development Center is dedicated to supporting faculty as they design, develop, and implement various online components of their courses at UWG.
Our mission is to help faculty to become more effective in their online instructions so that our students are engaged and successful in the online environment.
The Online Faculty Development Center is housed in the basement of the Old Auditorium, directly across from Ingram Library's main entrance. Drop in any time, and we'll be glad to help!

UWG Online Supports Quality Online Courses
In August 2015, UWG Online presented a Online Quality Assurance Plan to the college deans for review. This plan recommends that experienced online faculty receive 2 hours of training through the Online Faculty Development Center (FDC) each year and that faculty new to online teaching take classes on designing and facilitating online courses. The FDC is offering several CourseDen workshops during the fall semester. The following topics/tools will be highlighted: Quizzes, Getting Ready for Spring, and Gradebook. The link below, provides a brief description of the sessions and the opportunity to sign up. UWG Online also facilitates training opportunities through Quality Matters . If you have questions, please contact UWG Online FDC at 678-839-5289 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
