The UWG|Online Student Services Team is here to help with any questions or concerns you have with your online classes. This web page also gives you tutorials that will help with being able to use CourseDen properly. We also have links to services and downloads that will help you succeed in your online class.

Below you will see tutorials for our new CourseDen system. We have created a series of tutorials for students in order to prepare for taking online courses, using the new system, and troubleshooting tips.

UWG|Online Maintenance Schedule:

Please see the Board of Regents GeorgiaView Maintenance Schedule for the latest dates and times for scheduled maintenance downtime. GeorgiaONmyLINE programs, such as eCore®, follow the schedule for D/X site regardless of campus affiliation.

Be sure to mark these dates in your calendar so you can allocate time for completing assessments, assignments, discussions, and other course related content.

** Note - if one of the above listed tools is still active when the server goes down, you WILL be kicked off with no chance to save, submit, or complete your materials.

If you are experiencing latency/bandwidth issues accessing CourseDen using a portal login (i.e. http://www.westga.edu), always try using the direct link to login to CourseDen: http://westga.view.usg.edu

How to Login

STEP 1:
iconYou must have already registered your UWG ID at https://selfservice.westga.edu (hint = registered UWG ID accesses your UWG gmail).

STEP 2:

  • Log in at http://westga.view.usg.edu and enter:
    • Username = your registered UWG ID username (ex. sdoe1)
    • Password = your registered UWG ID password (hint = it’s at least 12 characters long)

Check Your Browser

Click on the following link to see if your computer and browser are compatible with CourseDen: http://www.usg.edu/usgweb/d2lchecker/

You will want to make sure that all of the checks say YES. If anything says NO, you will need to try to fix it or contact UWG|Online for help.

This app provides quick access to your course’s latest news and events, list of classmates, assignment grades, and the latest news from UWG | Online. Smarthinking is an online tutoring / writing assistance service provided to Fully Online Students at UWG. It is simple, fast, and always available and students can connect to live educators from any computer that has internet access, with no special software installation or equipment required. You must be enrolled in a fully online course in order to use this service, so when you call (678-839-6248), we'll check your enrollment and provide the login. StudyMate Class improves student knowledge of core concepts and terms through web-based learning activities. The activities, such as flash cards and crosswords, use glossary terms and facts entered by the students or instructor.
